Brutal attack near Scots high school sees man seriously injured as cops lock down scene

A man has been brutally attacked near a Scots high school forcing police to lockdown the area.

The 38-year-old was discovered seriously injured in Tinto Drive, Grangemouth this morning sparking a police probe.

He was rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where he remains in a stable condition after the alarm was raised at around 4am.

Pictures taken around 6am this morning show a police cordoned erected around Grangemouth High School parts of Tinto Drive in Grangemouth.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4am on Saturday, 27 February, we received a report of a serious assault in Tinto Drive, Grangemouth.

“A 38-year-old man suffered serious injury and was taken by ambulance to Forth Valley Royal Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
