If you're a gin lover, you'll know that there are about a thousand different flavours available to try. , there's pretty much something out there for everyone.
And now one gin flavour you probably wouldn't think of asking for at your local boozer has become available - and it's, let's say, different.
Scottish alcohol brand Pickering's has released a Brussel sprout-flavoured gin for Christmas, just in case your nan trying to force the green balls of doom down your neck at the dinner table wasn't enough.
But before you start questioning the meaning of life, it should be pointed out that there is a really good reason to buy one of the Brussels sprout gin baubles.
A donation from every pack sold will go to Contact The Elderly's Community Christmas Campaign, and funds raised will provide friendship and companionship for older people who would otherwise spend Christmas alone. What a lovely gesture.
Speaking about the gin, Pickering’s head distiller and co-founder, Matt Gammell, said: “It was an interesting challenge trying to balance the unmistakable flavour of Brussels sprouts to get the taste just right – and the distillery had a very distinct aroma while the gin was being distilled."
He added: "However, we love the end result and it is the ideal tipple for friends and family to share together this Christmas."
Not sure my family will be knocking it back this Christmas, Matt, but to each their own.
