Brussel sprout pakora being served up for Christmas by Indian restaurant in Glasgow

The brussel sprout argument is a classic at Christmas time: who knew that little green vegetables could cause such rage?

Love them or loathe them, everyone has something to say about the inclusion of brussel sprouts at their Christmas spread.

Now, what we want to know is - would that change if they came deep-fried?

Tollcross based Indian takeaway Ruby Murry's has launched a festive spin on a traditional South Asian favourite - with brussel sprout pakora inspired by the Grinch himself.

Their Festive Pakora Bites box includes Grinch-inspired brussel sprout pakora as well as chicken and stuffing pakora.

We don't think we've ever seen anything so green before.

Mahmood Ahmed, who owns Ruby Murry's, told Glasgow Live: "We were keen to combine classic Christmas ingredients and flavours with a traditional Indian dish, and what's better than brussel sprouts and chicken and stuffing?

"To bring a little extra festive flair we have made the sprouts batter Grinch green!"

Well, readers, what do you think? Get in touch and let us know.

Their Festive Pakora Bites Box contains six mixed pieces of Pakora and is priced at £4. You can order by calling Ruby Murry's on 0141 764 1700.
