Bruntsfield cafe Honeycomb teams up with Edinburgh chef to launch fine dining home service

Honeycomb cafe is launching its first ever 'at home' service with one of the city's top chefs.

The Bruntsfield eatery is known for delicious cakes, brunches and lunches, and will now expand into a fine dining experience you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home.

Teaming up with Barry Bryson, who has worked with Louis Vuitton and Aston Martin, the cafe will provide the full dinner experience while tier three restrictions mean a dinner out is off the cards for now.

With a menu that will change each week, the three set courses will be available to pick up on a Thursday or Friday, accompanied with a bottle of wine.

Each course will only require heating up, with instructions and a link to a video where "Barry will talk you through the simple steps" of plating up the dishes.

For the price of £50 for two people, the first three course menu is available this week for the weekend of Thursday 26th / Friday 27th November.

It will include:

  • Salmon & crab dumplings, free-range chicken miso, black sesame seeds, fennel seed crackers
  • Confit of duck leg, celeriac chips, red cabbage and apple, jus
  • Pear, apple & plum crumble with cinnamon and ginger, vanilla custard, honeycomb

Price for 2 people £50 (£25 per person), with option to add on your choice of wine or champagne to accompany.
