Bruno Guimaraes could be in contention to make his Newcastle United debut against Everton on Tuesday after the new signing trained with his new team-mates for the first time.
Guimaraes touched down at Newcastle Airport on Friday morning after playing in Brazil's 4-0 win against Miguel Almiron's Paraguay earlier this week.
Guimaraes, his family and his representatives travelled from Belo Horizonte to Newcastle via Paris and the 24-year-old was clearly keen to get started following his big-money move from Lyon.

Indeed, a suited and booted Guimaraes was immediately whisked off to St James' Park to meet and train with his new colleagues and carry out his in-house media duties after staying in the French capital on Thursday night.
Eddie Howe wanted to put his players through their paces at St James' on Friday so that Guimaraes and fellow new arrivals Dan Burn and Matt Targett could get a feel for the stadium ahead of next week's huge game against the Toffees.
Footage released by the club captured the moment Guimaraes walked into the dressing room for the first time as the new arrival shook the hand of each of his new team-mates and gave compatriot Joelinton a big hug before they had a chat in Portuguese.
The behind the scenes clip also showed Guimaraes telling Eddie Howe it was 'nice' to meet him before the Newcastle head coach commented that it was 'great' to have the midfielder 'here'.
It remains to be seen if Guimaraes will start against Everton, but the Brazilian certainly had a first day to remember as he tweeted: 'I’m very happy to be here, I hope to meet your expectations. I’m looking forward to playing and meeting the fans. Thank you for your support.'
