Bruno Fernandes vents Man Utd anger as tunnel cam emerges from Europa League final

Bruno Fernandes was visibly frustrated with the officials during the Europa League final defeat to Villarreal as tunnel cam footage has emerged from half-time.

It was a disappointing night for the Old Trafford side as they lost 11-10 on penalties in a dramatic shootout after it finished 1-1 after 120 minutes of action.

The Spanish side took the lead through Gerard Moreno in the first half before United pegged them back thanks to an Edinson Cavani strike just after the break.

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer's side were especially poor in the opening 45 minutes and Fernandes, in particular, was not happy how the referee officiated the first half.

Was Juan Foyth timewasting for Villarreal? Comment below .

The Manchester United midfielder took exception to Tottenham loanee Juan Foyth and felt he was timewasting after he was left with a bloody nose following a nasty collision with Paul Pogba.

He was also frustrated with how long the referee took to make a VAR decision as a behind-the-scenes clip has come to light from inside the tunnel during the interval.

He said: "The number eight goes twice.

"One time he stays down one minute. After again and then after the goal.

"You wait one time for VAR. 3 minutes?"

The teams then make their way out for the second half as substitute Fred tries to spur on his teammates for the second period.

The Brazilian says: "Let's go guys, let's go guys. Come on.

"Eh Scotty (McTominay), second ball, be careful"

A shout directed towards Marcus Rashford who had a poor first half can also be overhead in the background.

He says: "Rashy, come on mate."

Skipper Fernandes was criticised for appearing to let Villarreal go first in the penalty shootout despite winning the coin toss.

But the Portuguese international insists United will stick together following the defeat.

He said: "We win together and we lose together.

"When someone fails we all fail, when someone scores we all score, when someone does a save we all save… Always UNITED."

Pogba also spoke out on social media and insists the Red Devils will come back stronger from the setback.

He added: "‘I needed some days to reflect after the match.

"Of course, very upset not to win the final but we’re a team that will look forward with our heads held high.

"Thank you to all of the fans for the support. We will come back stronger."
