Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes says he needs to 'give more' to the club after he won the Premier League player of the month award for February.
The Portugal international only arrived at Old Trafford in January but has made an instant impact with his start to life at United.
Rejuvenated by his arrival earlier in the year, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are unbeaten in all competitions since Fernandes joined from Sporting Lisbon, with the midfielder a key cog in their system.
Fernandes is the 20th different United player to win a Premier League player of the month award - equalling a record held by Arsenal, and now he is hungry for further success at the club.
Speaking after he won the award, Fernandes said it was always a dream to play for United but insists he is fully focused on more success with the club.
“Since I was a kid it was a dream to play for Man United, and to be there at Old Trafford is the biggest dream of my career," Fernandes told the Premier League.
"I'm happy to be here and, for me, the most important thing is the football. I think I'm in the right club in the right moment and we can do much better. We did really good in the last games but I think, with the players we have in the team, we will do much better.
“When you come to a new club you always want to score, and the first goal is special. It doesn't matter how the goal is scored, but how important is the goal’s worth.
“I’m happy with my start, but from now I need to give more, to be better.”
