Bruno Fernandes sends message to Amad about Manchester United free-kick advice

Manchester United teenager Amad scored his first ever international goal with a stunning 97th minute free kick for Ivory Coast — and then joked with Bruno Fernandes afterwards.

Amad broke into his country's national team earlier this year and is already making a major impression on the international stage. He helped Ivory Coast fight back from a goal down to beat Burkina Faso 2-1 on Saturday night.

Ajax's Lassina Traore opened the scoring in the 15th minute, before Amad's countrymen hit back through Ibrahim Sangare.

The game was then level until the seventh minute of stoppage time, when the 18-year-old — who opened his United account earlier in the season with a spectacular back header against AC Milan — scored a brilliant free-kick.

He curled the ball home with his left-foot from 20 yards to send the Ivorian players into raptures.

Amad then posted a video of the goal on his Instagram account afterwards and a picture of him celebrating with a caption that said: "Happy for my first goal."

Fernandes was among those to reply, commenting: "But you were wrong." Clearly the pair have been discussing their free-kick abilities and techniques in United training.

Amad responded by saying: "You taught me that."

With the pair conversing in Italian, they are clearly fairly close at United, and Reds' fans will be hoping Amad and Fernandes can prove a dangerous pairing in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's attack next season.
