Bruno Fernandes sends defiant message after Manchester United draw vs Arsenal

Bruno Fernandes vowed that he will not rest until he has continued Manchester United's legacy.

In a message to fans celebrating his one-year anniversary of signing for United from Sporting CP in January 2020, Fernandes reflected on Saturday's goalless draw with Arsenal.

United had the better of the chances in the game at the Emirates but failed to capitalise as they made it two games without a win, following the midweek defeat to Sheffield United.

The draw means Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's are now three points off league leaders Man City having played one game more than their rivals.

Posting a video on Instagram of his highlights after one year at Old Trafford, Fernandes admitted the draw was not the way he wanted to celebrate his first anniversary at the club.

Yet he pledged to fans that he will keep working hard to achieve success as a United player and promised to stay at the club for years to come having already made a huge impact during his short time at Old Trafford.

"Definitely not the result I wanted to celebrate my first year as a Red, but we’ll keep working to improve," he said.

"It’s an absolute honour to play football with the Man Utd badge on my chest.

"The history of this football club was built over wins, many wins. I came here to help on continuing that legacy, and I won’t rest until I do it.

"I want to thank all the fans for your outstanding support. Hopefully, this was only the first of many years together.

"Glory glory Man United!"
