Bruno Fernandes reveals what quality future Manchester United signings must have

Bruno Fernandes has insisted he made the move to Manchester United in order to win every trophy available and wants players that follow him to Old Trafford to possess a similar hunger for success.

The 25-year-old completed a big-money move from Sporting Lisbon in January and subsequently registered three goals and four assists in his first nine games while also winning successive Sir Matt Busby Player of the Month awards.

Fernandes played an essential role in United's 11-match unbeaten run prior to the suspension of English football due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And speaking in a Q&A on United's official website, the Portuguese midfielder revealed an extensive list of targets to achieve with the Red Devils.

Asked what those targets were, Fernandes said: “Two targets, no! Four. I want four because we have league, Champions League, Carabao and FA Cup. I want to win everything. I'm hungry to win everything.

The Portuguese midfielder also wants that desire to be shared by future Old Trafford signings (PA)

"I told this before in some interview: I came to Manchester to win, to win titles, league, Champions League, everything.

"We know the potential Manchester have, because we are a young team, young players, but we've a lot of quality.

"Doesn't matter if we're young and the others have more experience than us because we have also experienced players who can help the youngest."

Fernandes believes United's status will allow them to build a "big team" and attract players hungry for success.

He added: "We already have a big team, but whoever comes needs to come to win. Just to focus to win, I want people hungry for titles and everything. I feel this now in the group, everyone wants to win."
