Bruno Fernandes has posted an ambiguous message to Instagram amid Manchester United's transfer interest in him.
The Portugal international was expected to complete a £50million move to Old Trafford last week, but Sporting are digging their heels in over the price.
The Portuguese outfit want a fee closer to £70million for their prized asset, and the transfer is in danger of derailing.
Fernandes is said to be 'desperate' to complete a switch after previously remaining loyal to Sporting when United came calling in the summer window.
This weekend the 25-year-old took to Instagram to update his story.
He posted an image of Simba from the Lion King, alongside the caption, translated from Portuguese: "Be somebody that nobody believed you would be."
It is not clear what Fernandes means with message, but it appears to reference the current transfer saga focused around him.
Sporting boss Silas provided an update on Fernandes' situation following his side's 2-0 defeat by bitter rivals Benfica, in which the midfielder featured.
He said: "I will prepare the game with Bruno in mind, now from here on out I don't know what could happen," Silas said. "It's a player that wants to play in a league superior to ours.
"What player wouldn't want to play in the English league? It's hard to tell him 'don't go'.
"Bruno deserves to play in those kind of league and the best is that one. If he is one of the best he has to be there."
