Bruno Fernandes pokes fun at Anthony Martial with message after Man Utd derby win

Bruno Fernandes couldn't help but poke fun at his Manchester United team-mate Anthony Martial following Sunday's derby victory.

The Red Devils stunned Manchester City at Old Trafford, running out 2-0 winners against the champions, with goals coming from Martial and Scott McTominay.

January signing Fernandes and Martial have been taking friendly swipes at each other on Instagram ever since Manchester United's 2-0 win over Chelsea. Following the victory, Fernandes warned Martial: "Next time I pass to you, try to not to miss it."

After United beat Watford 3-0, Martial hit back, telling Fernandes: "Give me a better pass".

Against Manchester City this weekend the duo finally linked up in the final third, with Fernandes assisting Martial to score.

Taking to Twitter this time, Fernandes sent a message to the fans, but also took his opportunity to aim another cheeky dig at his team-mate.

"Manchester is red," wrote the Portugal interntional. "Finally you scored with my assist Anthony Martial". Fernandes accompanied the post with the laughing face emoji.

Manchester United's unlikely win over Man City saw them immediately close the gap on Chelsea to three points, after they beat Everton 4-0.

"The desire, attitude, commitment," said Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after United's win. "The connection between fans and players and the team. What a day they've had today, both the players and the fans.

"Of course they made us defend, that's the type of players they are, but if our fans can see players with attitude and commitment and desire, then we've done our job as coaches today.

"I think we at times pressed them and pushed them back, we tried to be aggressive with the full-backs, so when we hit the press I think we made them make mistakes.

"I can't put my finger on anything [negative], but at times you'd like to defend with the ball in the team sometimes, but I'm not going to complain."
