Bruno Fernandes outlines long-term vision after bright start to Man Utd career

Bruno Fernandes insists he has plenty of improving to do as he seeks to achieve his ambitions at "the best club in England".

The Portuguese star has been a huge success at Old Trafford since joining in January from Sporting Lisbon.

His impact, both on and off the field, has been a catalyst for the recent upturn in form at United.

But Fernandes is conscious that opponents will adapt and look to negate the way he plays which is why he is still looking to improve.

And he he hopes that he will be a better player in the years to come than he is now.

“My vision of coming to Manchester United is that I’m at one of the best clubs in the world, for me, the best club in England," Fernandes said during in an interview with  Talent Ain't Enough     on  Instagram  .

“My idea for the next years are doing better than I have until now.

“For me, in games it is not good enough because now is maybe the most difficult part. The players start to recognise your game, start to know how you move, how you pass, how you shoot and the things become difficult now.

“So now I need to improve more and to work more and understand more the teams who I play against because they will understand me better, but I need to be prepared to understand better the difficulties they can have.”

Fernandes has three goals and four assists in his first nine games for the Red Devils and is yet to taste defeat.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has high hopes of the Portuguese star playing with Paul Pogba.

Should the pair forge a blossoming relationship it could help the Manchester club secure a Champions League place for next season - be that via the Premier League or by courtesy of Europa League success.
