Bruno Fernandes ‘offered’ to Spanish club as Manchester United dressing room ‘close to crisis’

Welcome to the United On My Mind daily round-up, where we take a look at some of the best Manchester United stories that you might have missed.

Things are looking bleak for Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has reportedly been offered to Spanish giants Barcelona after finding life with Cristiano Ronaldo is proving too difficult.

It goes from bad to worse as reports suggest the Old Trafford dressing room is close to breaking point.

And finally, on more of a positive note, it has been suggested that Ralf Rangnick will be backed with signings in January if he is looking to sign anyone.

Bruno breaking point

United are going through an awful period. Not only are the results and performances on the pitch disappointing, but there seems to be a few players who do not want to be at the club anymore, with reports suggesting one of these players is Fernandes.

Spanish outlet El Nacional have reported that the signing of Ronaldo had left Bruno not only jealous but also concerned they wouldn't click on the pitch like they don't for their national side Portugal. The report also explains how Fernandes has not benefited from the managerial change as he was 'untouchable' under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, which isn't the case under Ralf Rangnick.

That, coupled with the current situation at the club, has now left Fernandes a frustrated figure and is assessing his future with agent Jorge Mendes already offering him to Barcelona.

Our verdict: Bruno Fernandes was a revelation when he came in, but if there is even a doubt in his mind regarding his future, the club should let him go. This type of situation has happened before with players better than Fernandes.

The likes of Ronaldo and David Beckham sought a new challenge, and irrespective of their contribution or ability, they were free to leave. Nobody is bigger than the club.

Changing room turmoil

It goes without saying how concerning the current situation at United is right now. The results and what appears to be a lack of motivation has sucked the life and soul out of the fans, making it a difficult watch pretty much every time United step onto the pitch. It goes from bad to worse as reports claim the United dressing room is on the verge of capitulation.

The Express have reported the United dressing room has grown into several small cliques with Rangnick battling to keep the squad together. With tensions rising between certain small groups, the report also suggests that as many as eight players are looking for a way out of the club.

Our verdict: Where do you even start with this? First and foremost, regardless of how challenging the situation is, the club should never have to convince players to stay- if they want to leave, they know where the door is!

The idea of small cliques forming in the dressing room is a massive cause for concern and quite shocking in all honesty, considering they were all on the same side getting played off the park by Wolves on Monday evening.

Rangnick lifeline

Despite the situation surrounding United being depressing for everyone affiliated with the club, there could be a way Rangnick can bring much-needed life to Old Trafford. With the club appearing in disarray, we've miraculously found a positive report!

Tribal Football (as per The Times) have reported the United boss has been told if he seeks to make any January additions to the squad, he will be backed.

Our verdict: This could be United's saving grace. Not only would fans love to see new faces come in (especially a midfielder!), but new players can often spark new life into a club, just like Fernandes did when he first joined. If Rangnick can secure players who will run through brick walls for him and the club, it has the possibility of finally getting the season back on track.
