Bruno Fernandes' message to Man Utd team-mates proves Jermaine Jenas' point

Jermaine Jenas has applauded the way Bruno Fernandes makes his presence felt at Manchester United - despite him being the new boy.

Fernandes has made a sensational start at Man United following his £67million transfer from Sporting Lisbon in the January transfer window.

On Saturday the Portuguese was picked to start against Norwich in the FA Cup.

And as the game got underway, Fernandes caught the eye of the commentary team - which included Jenas - as he attempted to put his stamp on the contest with a message to his team-mates.

Jenas said on the BBC: "For me it's more the presence he has on the pitch, over the years United have had two or three of those players on the pitch.

"And for him to just show up and have it shows he's a pretty special player."

Around the same time BBC focused their cameras on Fernandes, who was seen shouting something at one of his team-mates.

It's not clear what Fernandes said as he held his hand to his mouth.

But the gesture, at the very least, shows that Jenas is spot on about the Portuguese.

The midfielder is already a leader in this United dressing room; a player who is prepared to put his team-mates in their place, despite being new to the Old Trafford club.
