Bruno Fernandes makes Man Utd vow not to "rest" as he celebrates on year at club

Bruno Fernandes insists he "will not rest" until he makes Manchester United a winning outfit once again in a post on social media.

The Portuguese star has been a revelation since joining and has just celebrated a year at Old Trafford.

His goals and assists have made him United's star man with individual accolades a plenty coming his way courtesy of his performances.

Fernandes though endured one of his quieter nights in their goalless draw against Arsenal on Saturday night.

The playmaker has long spoken of his pride at playing for United and underlined his commitment to achieving success with them.

He said on Instagram : "Definitely not the result I wanted to celebrate my first year as a Red, but we’ll keep working to improve.

"It’s an absolute honor to play football with the Man Utd badge on my chest.

"The history of this football club was built over wins, many wins. I came here to help on continuing that legacy, and I won’t rest until I do it.

"I want to thank all the fans for your outstanding support. Hopefully, this was only the first of many years together.

"Glory glory Man United!"

Fernandes and his team-mates, following a drop off in recent games, find themselves three points off leaders Manchester City.

They were on the receiving end of a shock in midweek as Sheffield United won at Old Trafford.

Solskjaer was pleased with their response in north London but bemoaned their inability to take their chances.

He said: "Good performance, two massive chances in the second half but unfortunately it wasn't to be.

"We had the greater share of possession, the better chances, there was a spell in the second half we dropped off but apart from that I'm pleased with the boys."
