Bruno Fernandes lifts lid on Manchester United training return

Bruno Fernandes says Manchester United have been showing 'really good' signs upon their recent return to training.

United have been back at their Carrington training complex for a number of weeks now and have been stepping up the intensity ahead of the Premier League return.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are back in action a week on Friday when they travel to face Tottenham, and Fernandes knows a big performance is needed if they are to keep their hopes of a top-four finish alive.

Untied are technically still unbeaten in their last 11 matches and January signing Fernandes says his side are really enjoying themselves ahead of their first match in over three months.

"We are really happy, things are really intense, really good," Fernandes told the United App.

"We wait for this moment because we like to play football and we are really enjoying this time."

As well as the usual contact sessions United have also been taking part in a number of intrasquad friendly matches, with behind-closed-doors practice matches expected to continue prior to facing Tottenham next week.

When asked about changes to the training regime Fernandes insisted his side were continuing as normal even under since strange circumstances.

He added: "The difference is just to arrive at different hours and not doing the same as we did in the past, but the most important thing is that we can train and that we can be together in the training ground, and to train together."
