Manchester United squad vs Liverpool FC includes Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United have been handed a huge injury boost for their Premier League showdown with Liverpool.

Having been rated as doubtful for the Old Trafford contest, Bruno Fernandes has teamed up with the United squad and was, subsequently, pictured on arrival at their pre-match Lowry Hotel base.

Marcus Rashford has also been captured on camera around the hotel; offering another fitness boost to his manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of Sunday's huge clash.

During a midweek comeback win over Atalanta, the England forward - who underwent shoulder surgery during the summer - had to be taken off with a dead leg.

That came after he had set the ball rolling on another night of European magic underneath the Old Trafford lights, Rashford scoring his second goal in as many outings.

Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo went on to complete a sensational turnaround.

Back to winning ways, it was a victory that, initially, had come at a triple cost for United - with Fred and Fernandes also picking up knocks throughout the 90 minutes.

Speaking about the Portuguese star during his pre-match press conference, Solskjaer said: "Games like Wednesday night are always going to bring knocks and bruises and we do have two or three carrying knocks from that game. I'll give everyone time, I hope I can pick from a fully fit squad, I might be without two or three.

"Bruno [Fernandes] might be a doubt, but he's doing everything he can to be ready."

Seemingly, the 27-year-old has passed that test, while Rashford checking in to the Lowry is also welcome news for United.

Raphael Varane is sidelined while Brazilian Fred was also not pictured. His absence may be down to the same Covid-19 quarantine guidelines which has prevented Thiago Silva from joining up with his Chelsea team-mates despite playing in Saturday's 7-0 win over Norwich.

Confirmed United squad members: De Gea, Henderson, Heaton, Dalot, Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Maguire, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic, McTominay, Van de Beek, Pogba, Fernandes, Sancho, Lingard, Greenwood, Cavani, Ronaldo, Rashford.
