Bruno Fernandes impressing behind the scenes at Man Utd

Bruno Fernandes has already made the right impression at Manchester United after signing for the club in January.

The Portuguese playmaker arrived towards the end of the transfer window after weeks of intense speculation.

Fernandes attracted a lot of attention after posting some impressive stats for Sporting over the past two seasons. Prior to his move, the midfielder scored 13 goal and produced 10 assists in 23 appearances in Portugal.

The 25-year-old made his debut for the club against Wolves and showed glimpses of his ablity.

Now on United's warm weather training break in Malaga, Fernandes has had even more time to bed in - and he's impressed off the pitch.

According to ManUtd.com, Fernandes has gone out of his way to introduce himself to club staff.

A nice touch from the £49million signing.

On the pitch, though, Fernandes's new team-mates have also been singing his praises.

"He is settling in great. I know quite a few of the boys speak his language and he speaks great English as well," said Daniel James.

"So, I think as soon as he came in he put his stamp on the game and he showed what he is about in that last game, on his debut.

"He was great, with the balls he played in behind and, for me, if we can get that bond, especially playing it in behind, I think that will be great."

Countryman and pal Diogo Dalot has been equally as positive in his verdict of the winter window recruit.

"Oh, perfectly," Dalot  responded when asked how Fernandes is settling in. "I mean, it is like he has been here for two years already.

"He is getting on very well with the lads, it is very good to have him here, it is very good for me, very good for the team, he is a fantastic player and a fantastic person, so it is one more to help the team."
