Bruno Fernandes gives verdict on new Manchester United signings Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane

Bruno Fernandes is excited by the transfer business Manchester United have conducted this summer.

With just under three weeks until deadline day, United have already enjoyed a brilliant transfer window with the addition of thrilling winger Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and the imminent arrival of Raphael Varane, a deal the club are hoping to finalise by Wednesday.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer isn't done there, either, with a right-back and centre-midfielder still on the manager's wish-list as he aims to turn his squad into serious Premier League title challengers.

But with just the signings of Sancho and Varane, two world-class players, United have made a serious statement and Fernandes is happy to see them arrive.

When asked by United's in-house media if players get as excited as supporters when big new signings are made, the Portuguese replied: "Of course.

"When you see the names that are coming and what they have done in the last few seasons, we are really happy with everyone that is coming in.

"Of course to keep the lads who have been here the last few seasons is important because you have to grow up and at the same time you have to keep the same players to know we are doing better and better.

"With this team, we know we can do better, but adding some players to the team helps the team be better.”

Both Sancho and Varane will be arriving at Old Trafford from different countries and leagues and Fernandes has promised that United's players will do everything they can to help the pair settle in Manchester.

"We always want to help the ones who come into the club," he said.

"Anyone who comes into the club to be part of the group will get help from everyone because as we always say it’s like a family here.

"We are together for a long, long time and the season will be long and we hope it will be as long as possible so we can win some trophies and at the same time we want to help everyone to be settled in the team.

"That’s really important as I said before, we want this club and this group to be like a family and we will do everything to do that.”
