Bruno Fernandes 'feels betrayed' by Man Utd after summer's transfer failings

Bruno Fernandes is reportedly angry and feels let down by Manchester United's failings in the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils went into the summer heavily linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho.

United bosss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also had his eye on Aston Villa's Jack Grealish and was keen to add another centre-back to the mix.

But after snapping up £35million midfielder Donny van de Beek, United sat still in the hope that Dortmund would come down on their £108m asking price for Sancho.

The German club didn't, prompting United to hastily add four new players on deadline day.

According to the Transfer Window Podcast, Fernandes is unhappy with the way United conducted business this summer and feels the club didn't keep the promises they made to him when he joined last January.

He was hoping to see some real quality come through the door at Old Trafford, which would enable United to compete with Man City and Liverpool this season.

But that hasn't happened, with Manchester United already a long way off the pace in the Premier League.

The Red Devils were battered last time out in the top flight by Tottenham.

Spurs ran out 6-1 winners over the Red Devils, and Fernandes is said to have been furious in the dressing room at half time.
