Bruno Fernandes became the first Portuguese player since Cristiano Ronaldo to score 10 goals in a Premier League season.
Both, of course, have done so for Manchester United with Fernandes' importance poised to soon match that of his compatriot.
Ronaldo played in an all conquering side, winning a hat-trick of league titles before moving to Real Madrid in 2019.
Fernandes' United are far less complete and have not yet threatened to win any silverware.
But the 26-year-old continues to be a star and scored his 10th league goal of the season, his fourteenth in all competitions, in the 2-2 draw at Leicester.
He scored eight last term but only had half a season having moved from Sporting Lisbon in January.
Ronaldo, who also joined United from the Portuguese side, was a slow bloomer at Old Trafford.
It wasn't until his fourth season, 2006/07, that he hit double figures as he scored 17 times en route to being named PFA Player of the Year.
Ronaldo scored 31 the year after that and then 18 in his final year.
Fernandes is trying to fire United back to the summit with their last league success coming in 2013.
The Portuguese star has praised his team-mates for continuing to back him as he remains focused on the group's objectives.
"I enjoy it, I have a good team around me and they helped me since the beginning," he told BBC Sport.
They give me confidence and when you have that support behind you you feel better.
"We are looking to win games. If you focus on other teams you don't focus on what you can do."
United's draw at Leicester bought to an end their winning run on the road that had dated back to last season.
