Bruno Fernandes breaks silence on Raphael Varane transfer to Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes believes Raphael Varane will make Manchester United 'better' following official announcement of his signing.

United paraded their new summer addition on the Old Trafford pitch ahead of their Premier League opener against Leeds on Saturday lunchtime.

Varane was greeted to a warm welcome following his summer exit from Real Madrid and watched on as United smashed five goals past their fierce Yorkshire rivals.

It was the perfect start to life at his new club and star midfielder Fernandes can't wait to see what the World Cup winner brings to the side.

"As everyone knows he is a big player," Fernandes told MUTV.

"As everyone knows when you come to this club you have to make impact.

"I think Rapha is ready, he played for one of the biggest clubs in the world in the past, he won many trophies and he will come to help us to be better - but at the same time I think he will be helped from Victor, from H, from Phil Jones.

"All of them will help him to settle down in the club, to settle in the country, to the Premier League.

"We are here to help everyone. Jadon is already an English player, but we are here to help him settle the quickest possible."
