Celtic look to have beaten off a host of English Premier League clubs to sign hit-kid Bruno Davidson.
The young winger, who doesn’t turn 16 until April, is being chased by top-flight Leicester City, Newcastle United, West Ham and Southampton.
However, the Parkhead side believe they have now won the race for Davidson’s signature and hope to tie up the teenager on a three-year-contract this week.
Davidson is currently starring for renowned Edinburgh boys club Hutchison Vale.
But his performances have attracted interest from clubs across the UK in recent months.
Club scouts have crowded in to watch the youngster in action but Celtic have stolen a march on clubs south of the border by tempting him to Glasgow.
The reigning Premiership champions are confident of adding Davidson to their development squad at Lennoxtown.
