Bruins fans furious after refs allow Columbus goal that clearly shouldn’t have counted

NHL refs have not had the best of postseasons and that trend continued in the first period of Thursday night’s Game 4 between the Boston Bruins and Columbus Blue Jackets when the refs awarded the Blue Jackets a goal that should not have counted.

Because as TV replays clearly showed, moments before the goal the puck hit the netting behind the goal and the play should have been ruled dead.

Instead, the Blue Jackets scored right after the puck landed back on the ice to make it 2-1, mostly because the Bruins stopped playing because the puck hit the netting.

It was just a terrible no-call that was called out by everyone watching the game, including the Bruins social media team, which tweeted:
