Bruce Willis breaks silence after being asked to leave shop for not wearing face mask

Bruce Willis has spoken out after he was photographed in a California pharmacy without a face mask.

The 65-year-old Die Hard actor walked in and out of the store without a face covering, with Page Six reporting that he was asked to leave because of his transgression.

The Hollywood legend has now issued a statement in which he said that it was a judgement error and has urged people to wear masks in public to help stop the spread of coronavirus.

The actor has told People: "It was an error in judgment."

He went on to add: "Be safe out there everyone and let's continue to mask up."

Bruce had caused controversy when he was snapped leaving a Rite Aid pharmacy in Los Angeles on Sunday.

He was wearing a scarf around his neck but it was not pulled up over his face and he was not wearing a mask.

Bruce faced a huge backlash on social media after the photos emerged with the John Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center reporting there have been over two million cases of Covid-19 in California.

Over 930,000 of these were in Los Angeles County, which is where Bruce transgressed the coronavirus guidelines.

It has been a bringing together of the actor's family's past and present during the pandemic, as he left his wife Emma Heming Willis and daughters Mabel, eight, and Evelyn, five, at home in Los Angeles while he joined ex-wife Demi Moore.

He stayed with Demi and their daughters Rumer, 32, Scout, 29, and Tallulah, 26, at the their home in Idaho.

Instead of being an awkward situation, it would seem that they all became "one happy family" and by June, Emma and the kids had joined them too.

Scout revealed in April that the reason why her stepmother and her half-sisters had not been with them from the start was because one of her siblings had stepped on a needle in a LA park and had to go to hospital.

Speaking on the Dopey podcast, Scout revealed: "My stepmom had to be in LA waiting to get the results from taking her to the doctor so my dad came up here and then travel got crazy so my stepmom stayed in LA with my little sisters."
