Bruce Willis is currently isolating with ex wife Demi Moore and their daughters rather than his current wife Emma Heming because he simply got "stuck" at Demi's place, an insider has claimed.
In an unusual situation, Bruce is surviving the outbreak with Demi, their three daughters, two boyfriends and Demi's assistant.
The move was met with surprise from fans of the former Hollywood golden couple, who divorced 20 years ago.
It has been reported that it wasn't Bruce's plan to isolate with Demi.
An insider told ET Online that Bruce's family initially planned to join him there until there was an outbreak of the virus in the area.
The source told the site: "He has a house directly across the street from Demi's house in Sun Valley. It's been for sale for years. He was visiting and his family was considering quarantining there. He got stuck because Sun Valley became one of the COVID-19 hotspots."
The source continued: "Bruce and Demi made a decision to quarantine together with their children and have been doing so for over a month. The family didn't want to take any risks of outside influences so they've stayed away from socialising with anyone but their family.
"Bruce isn't with his wife or young children, but that was understood going into this."
But the Die Hard star - who split from Demi in 2000 after 13 years of marriage - is keeping in close contact with his wife and two young kids via video call, as he makes a point of chatting to them daily.
It seems Demi and Emma are close pals, with the former confirming they're in touch on the app Houseparty.
Demi recently shared a snap of her gang in matching outfits, with Emma commenting: "At its finest, love and miss you guys."
Demi came back: "@emmahemingwillis we are missing you guys and love you so much! Houseparty tonight?"
Hers and Bruce's eldest Rumer chimed in: "Miss you so much Em. Wish you guys were here with us."
Demi and Bruce share 31 year old Rumer, as well as Scout, 28, and Tallulah, 26.
Bruce and Emma have two little girls together, eight year old Mabel and five year old Evelyn.
