Bruce Springsteen, Jon Stewart to perform at Stand Up for Heroes at NYC’s Lincoln Center

NEW YORK — Bruce Springsteen, Jon Stewart and Nikki Glaser are among the entertainers who will perform at the Stand Up for Heroes fundraiser Nov. 8 at Lincoln Center, organizers announced Tuesday.

The annual show benefits the Bob Woodruff Foundation, which funds and supports initiatives for wounded veterans and their families.

“Our military community sacrifices so much for their fellow citizens,” journalist Bob Woodruff, who co-founded the organization with wife Lee, said in a statement. “They have earned our enduring respect, and more importantly, our support.”

Grace Gaustad, Jim Gaffigan, Donnell Rawlings, Nate Bargatze and Sing Harlem will also perform at the show, which is billed as a “night of hope, healing and laughter.”

This marks the 15th edition of Stand Up for Heroes, which has raised more than $60 million over the years. Woodruff founded the organization after being nearly killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq while on assignment for ABC in 2006.
