Bruce Anderson offered Aberdeen exit chance as Livingston present striker with long-term deal

Livingston are trying to strike a deal to sign Bruce Anderson from Aberdeen.

The Lions have offered a three-year deal to the out-of-contract Dons youngster.

Aberdeen have also put a new deal on the table but he fears his first-team chances may be limited at Pittodrie.

New manager Stephen Glass has already spoken to him and said he wants him to be one of three strikers for the new season.

Anderson, however, enjoyed a successful loan spell at Hamilton and feels at this stage of his career he needs regular games.

Accies would also be keen to sign the 22-year-old on a permanent deal but are aware he would prefer to remain in the Premiership.

Hearts have also shown an interest but Livingston have been more proactive and have already held discussions with Aberdeen over the possible compensation.

Aberdeen, ironically, are in talks with Livingston to sign Jay Emmanuel Thomas.

Livi boss David Martindale admitted at the weekend that the deal is close.

The Anderson and JET deals, as they stand, remain as separate entities, but could be brought together for a suitable conclusion.

Livi have already been active in signing Ayo Obileye from Queen of the South and Port Vale’s Christian Montano on pre-contracts.
