Bruce Allen’s rough drafting track record comes to light again

To say the Washington Redskins haven’t been very good at drafting under the guidance of Bruce Allen would be an understatement.

As NFL analyst Warren Sharp pointed out above, Allen’s track record from 2010-2015 was horrendous based on player retention rates.

The Redskins did move through a few different general managers over this span, yet some of the decision-makers in the front office haven’t changed. And while this list includes late-round picks, it speaks volumes that the team couldn’t at least sometimes stumble into picks deserving of second contracts.

Above Allen, of course, sits Dan Snyder, who has watched as fan attendance has plummeted annually and the on-field product has put up a 72-104-1 record.

Better drafting, before most everything else, would help to start righting the ship.
