A number of hospitality businesses at Broxden in Perth have been affected by staff getting COVID-19.
The Costa Coffee outlet was due to reopen yesterday (July 1) after a deep clean following one case of a staff member falling sick earlier in the week.
A Costa Coffee spokesperson said: “Our Costa Coffee store at Broxden Services in Perth is currently closed due to a positive case of COVID-19 relating to the store.
“In line with our policy the store has been closed for a deep clean and those team members impacted are now self-isolating.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers and hope to re-open the store on Thursday, July 1.
Meanwhile the PA was told of a number of McDonalds staff at Broxden getting positive tests, but in this case, the burger outlet did not stop serving.
A McDonald’s spokesperson said: “Four employees at our Broxden restaurant have tested positive for COVID-19 and are self-isolating.
“As soon as we were informed, the restaurant was given an enhanced clean as a precaution. We have contacted all restaurant employees, as well as Public Health Scotland.
“We have a number of safety measures in place to help keep our people safe, including screens, temperature checks at the start of each shift, maintaining a two metre distance from others as much as possible, face coverings, regular hand washing and the use of hand sanitiser.”
