Broxburn couple Margaret and John Brady, set a shining example to others when they celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.
The couple were married 60 years ago at St Nicholas RC Church in Broxburn on July 2, 1960.
And they went on to have two children David and John, three grandchildren Louise, Connor and Rachael and a great-grandchild called Macie.
Before retiring 81-year-old Margaret (nee Potter) had various jobs in retail, cleaning, and factory work and John, also 81, was a motor mechanic.
Daughter Louise said the couple’s family visited them on their anniversary, albeit at a distance.
She added: “They hadn’t planned anything as it’s just another day to them but as a family we wanted to try and make it special for them.
“They do so much for us all and we wanted to know how special they are and make it something to remember.”
