Broxburn Athletic and Linlithgow Rose learn Scottish Cup third round opponents

Linlithgow Rose have been handed a glamour Scottish Cup third round tie at home to neighbours Falkirk of League One.

The East of Scotland Premier League team will welcome the Bairns to Prestonfield on November 23.

The Rose booked their place in the third round draw thanks to a 2-0 victory today away at Lowland League side Stirling University.

It was a winning start for Brown Ferguson as Rose manager with prolific striker Tommy Coyne netting early and late in the second half to seal the deal.

Broxburn Athletic claimed a 1-1 away from home at League Two side Cowdenbeath yesterday with the replay taking place at Albyn Park next Saturday. They will face a long trip north to face Inverurie Loco Works of the Highland League should they progress.
