The Cleveland Browns have finally announced details for the team’s upcoming training camp. While almost every team will open their camps on the same date, July 27th, the fans’ first chance to see the Browns in camp will come on July 30th from Berea, Ohio.
With significant limitations through all of the 2020 offseason and season, fans have had limited access to engage the team. 2021 training camp will still have some limitations says JW Johnson:
“While the setup will be different than past years due to the league’s health and safety protocols, we are fully dedicated to providing our fans with an engaging experience during training camp and the entire year, both in person and through our digital programming.”
For years, Browns fans have brought a raucous atmosphere to Berea and have enjoyed the ability to be close with the players and staff. Unlike in years past, fans this year will be focused on a team that has real Super Bowl aspirations and very few available final roster spots.
The team will open up 12 practices for fans with sessions starting in the afternoon, around 2:25 PM for each practice. Gates will open an hour beforehand.
Starting this Monday, July 19th, fans will have the chance to access tickets:
Starting on Monday, July 19, Browns fans can register for a chance to secure up to four tickets per account to their desired training camp session through the Browns Mobile App or ClevelandBrowns.com. After pooling all requests, tickets to one practice per registrant will be distributed through a lottery system as they remain available.
The team did note that season ticket holders and fans on the team’s waitlist will receive priority access. The Browns will be able to host nearly 2,000 fans per practice. They will also engage with local youth and high school football teams for access to practice.
