John Dorsey could wait no longer. The Browns GM traded up from No. 49 to No. 46 to select LSU cornerback Andraez “Greedy” Williams in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft.
Williams was widely projected as a first-round pick after an All-America season for the Tigers. Dorsey swapped the 49th and 144th overall picks with the Indianapolis Colts to move up and stop his draft-day fall.
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Williams notched 2 INTs and nine passes defensed in 2018 as a sophomore. He burst onto the scene with six picks as a freshman in 2017.
