Browns trade for Packers G Justin McCray at cutdown deadline

Browns GM John Dorsey was busy on the phones in the hours leading up to Saturday’s 4 p.m. roster cutdown deadline. Shortly after engineering a trade for Titans WR Taywan Taylor, Dorsey and the Browns traded for Green Bay Packers guard Justin McCray.

McCray joins the Browns after being a part-time starter for the Packers last year. This is officially his third NFL season, though McCray entered the league as an undrafted free agent from Central Florida back in 2014.

The exact 2020 draft pick the Browns are sending to the Packers as compensation was not initially disclosed. The Browns announced the trade as part of their press release revealing all the player transactions for the day.
