Browns trade Emmanuel Ogbah to the Chiefs for DB Eric Murray

Emmanuel Ogbah didn’t have to wait long before getting resolution to his offseason status with the Cleveland Browns. Hours after the defensive end skipped the first day of the Browns’ offseason program because he believed he was not going to be with the team much longer, his reason for staying away came true.

The Browns dealt Ogbah, the team’s starting left defensive end for most of the last three seasons, to the Kansas City Chiefs. In return, defensive back Eric Murray heads to Cleveland.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter first reported the trade and the final details involving Murray in the deal,

Murray is a John Dorsey draft pick with the Chiefs, a fourth-rounder from Minnesota in 2016. He played collegiately with ex-Browns DB Briean Boddy-Calhoun. Murray was a cornerback in college but moved to safety for the Chiefs, starting 9 games at his new position in 2018.
