Browns headquarters will remain in Berea through 2039

The Cleveland Browns have made their headquarters at 76 Lou Groza Blvd. since 1991. And with the stroke of a pen, the team’s home base will remain just south of Cleveland Hopkins International Airport for another 20 years.

The team and city of Berea, which owns and leases the building to the Browns, have agreed in principle to a lease extension. It is currently in the formative stages and must be approved by the City Council, but the verbal agreement to keep the Browns in Berea carries significant weight.

“We greatly appreciate our partnership with the City of Berea and are really excited about it remaining our home,” Browns spokesman Peter John-Baptiste said via Cleveland.com.

The city of Berea owns the facility, which includes the Browns team offices, practice facilities and training center. It leases the space to the team for an undisclosed amount per year.
