Welcome to Cleveland, Ka’John Armstrong. The undrafted rookie offensive tackle from Eastern Michigan is the newest member of the Cleveland Browns.
Armstrong was in minicamp this week on a tryout basis and the Detroit native showed enough promise to merit joining the team. The 6-5, 300-pounder has great length (his arms are over 35 inches long) and decent footwork but didn’t always play to his size for the Eagles. There is potential for the Browns to try him at guard as well.
Armstrong fills the roster spot opened when the team dumped Desmond Harrison. Last year’s starting left tackle for the first half of the season was claimed off waivers by the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday.
