Browns sign RB Kareem Hunt

The Cleveland Browns have pulled off a bombshell of an offseason move, signing running back Kareem Hunt.

Hunt was the NFL’s leading rusher as a rookie in 2017 for the Kansas City Chiefs, but he ran into serious trouble when video of him assaulting a woman in a Cleveland hotel was made public. The Chiefs quickly released him in November.

Hunt currently remains subject to discipline from the NFL, the extent of which has not been determined.

He is a Cleveland-area native and also has previous ties with Browns GM John Dorsey. When he was running the Kansas City Chiefs front office, Dorsey selected Hunt out of Toledo in the 2017 NFL Draft.
