Browns sign TE Mik’Quan Deane, waive WR Blake Jackson

The Cleveland Browns have made another move at the back end of the offensive roster. On Friday afternoon the team revealed it has signed tight end Mik’Quan Deane. He is an undrafted rookie from Western Kentucky.

Deane spent some time postdraft with the Seattle Seahawks before being released. A 6-4, 240-pounder, he led the Hilltoppers in TD receptions with 6 in 2018 on his 44 receptions. It was a nice step up from his 11 receptions as a junior.

To make room for Dean, the Browns waived wide receiver Blake Jackson with an injury designation. He hurt his knee earlier this week in practice. If no other team claims the second-year pro, he will revert to the Browns’ injured reserve list.
