The Cleveland Browns made a quick change at the bottom of the running back depth chart. Undrafted rookie L.J. Scott has signed with the Browns, the team announced on Monday morning.
Devante Mays was waived to make room for Scott.
A bigger back out of Michigan State, Scott was injured during the 2018 college season. He played in just five games, though he was healthy enough to return for the Spartans bowl loss to Oregon. The 6-1, 225-pounder is a Youngstown native and had mentioned in the pre-draft process he really wanted to become a Cleveland Brown. He gets his opportunity to show what he can do.
