Browns sign OL Michael Dunn to active roster, designate S Ronnie Harrison for return

The Browns stayed within the organization to replace injured offensive lineman Chris Hubbard. Cleveland signed Michael Dunn off the practice squad and to the active roster.

Dunn has been a practice squad elevation twice already this season, which means he could no longer be promoted except for COVID-19 replacement status. He has played 15 snaps this season, all on special teams. Dunn is primarily a guard but can also play tackle in a pinch. He’s spent the entire 2020 season on the Browns practice squad after playing in the XFL.

The Browns also designated safety Ronnie Harrison for return from the injured reserve list. Harrison is now cleared to practice with the team in an effort to get back onto the active roster. He is still on the I.R. list so there is no need to make any roster moves just yet.

Coach Kevin Stefanski offered an upbeat assessment of Harrison’s progress in Monday’s press conference. There is a chance Harrison is capable of playing against the New York Jets on Sunday, which would be a huge boon to a defense that is also without starting safety Andrew Sendejo, who remains in the concussion protocol.
