Browns sign OG Colby Gossett to the practice squad

The Cleveland Browns made a minor move at the bottom of the roster. GM John Dorsey signed guard Colby Gossett to the practice squad on Thursday morning.

Gossett began the week on the New England Patriots’ practice squad. He’s bounced around since being a sixth-round pick out of Appalachian State in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings. He started four games as a rookie right guard for the injury-strapped Arizona Cardinals but could not make the team after the 2019 preseason.

To make room for Gossett, the team once again parted ways with seventh-round rookie Donnie Lewis Jr.

The cornerback from Tulane was waived in the roster cutdown after an injury-plagued offseason but came back to the Browns practice squad last week. It’s safe to say the Browns have his number in case they want to bring Lewis back once again.
