The Cleveland Browns announced the team has signed Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi, a free agent wide receiver from Phoenix College. He is a rookie but did not spend time on any NFL team’s practice squad in 2018.
While he’s listed as a wide receiver, Sheehy-Guiseppi is signed for his ability as a return man. He averaged over 32 yards per kick return and took four of them to the house in his final season with Phoenix College, which plays at the junior college level.
He’s a former track standout as well. It shows in the clips of his returns; he often appears to be running against guys who are in slow motion around him.
