Browns sign free agent offensive lineman Eric Kush

Browns fans, meet the newest member of the team’s offensive line. Veteran Eric Kush signed with the team on Thursday in a move he announced on his own social media shortly after sources reported on the pending move.

Kush is the latest player with ties to GM John Dorsey’s Kansas City Chiefs days to join the Browns. Those Chiefs drafted Kush in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of California (PA).

The 29-year-old played the last two seasons with the Chicago Bears, where he got his first real extended chance to play. Kush started seven games for the Bears before a neck injury slowed his progress.

He projects as the team’s top reserve interior lineman, with the ability to play either guard spot. Kush primarily played center in college. He also has some special teams experience.
