Odell Beckham Jr. was all over the NFL news on Monday, as the Browns wide receiver often finds himself. His weeks-old interview with the Wall Street Journal where Beckham proclaimed he was okay with the NFL not playing in 2020 went public, dominating the daily sports news sphere.
Beckham himself laid low on Monday, reporting for conditioning in Berea and participating with his teammates as they get ready for training camp to ramp up. The Browns posted a video of No. 13 working out to their Instagram page. Beckham is wearing a mask while going through a drill.
It’s a savvy move by the Browns to try and defuse any impact from Beckham’s comments, which he made in July before the NFL and NFLPA agreed to safety precautions and protocols to return to the field.
