Browns show heavy interest in Boise State OT Ezra Cleveland

Ezra Cleveland is a name Browns fans should probably get familiar with. The Boise State offensive tackle is a definite candidate for the team to select in April’s draft.

Aside from his appropriate surname, Cleveland is a good schematic fit with excellent agility for a left tackle. He played in a pro-friendly offense and his background as a wrestler shows in his use of leverage and hand/shoulder work. The Browns appear to have taken a very high level of interest in Cleveland in the draft process.

How much interest, you ask?

How about the troika of pre-draft contact: the formal meeting at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine, a private workout with the team and a private visit with the team.

Because the Andrew Berry-Kevin Stefanski regime doesn’t have a track record to judge against, we don’t know if the heavy interest here is just due diligence or sincere interest.
