Browns RB Kareem Hunt, LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah expected to miss multiple weeks

Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt and linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah will be out for at least a month, according to coach Kevin Stefanski.

Hunt is dealing with a calf injury, and is “likely” headed to injured reserve, per Sefanski. Hunt suffered the injury in the second half of the team’s 37-14 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. He left the field on a cart. The running back will likely miss four to six weeks due to the injury, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Hunt’s injury comes during starting running back Nick Chubb’s injury-related absence. Though Stefanski said Chubb could play Thursday in the Brown’s matchup against the Broncos, it seems more likely they’ll have to feature D’Ernest Johnson.

There were fewer details about Owusu-Koramoah’s ankle injury. Stefanski would not specify how long the linebacker would be out, merely saying it would be multiple weeks. Owusu-Koramoah has backups in Malcolm Smith and Mack Wilson.
