The Cleveland Browns players have elected to not attend the upcoming voluntary offseason workout session. The players announced the move in a press release via the NFLPA, which is behind the movement to have its members not participate in the voluntary activities.
The Browns join several other teams who had previously announced they were not going to attend the sessions, which were slated to begin as early as Monday. The Denver Broncos were the first, with the Lions, Giants and others quickly following suit.
The move is not a surprise, not with starting center JC Tretter serving as the president of the NFLPA.

There is nothing preventing any Browns players who wish to participate, and the players are free to work out together on their own.
